On friday, it was a holiday for raffles because the RJs have done well, and the rafflesian family is celebrating it in this manner.

The most fun thing for today was the debate of RI vs Xin Min sec. The motion is-

'This house would make community service an alternative form of National service', with RI being the opposition

It was fun, no doubt, when they started posting POIs saying

currently, the technology is advancing and there are not much manpower needed for NS because we are using nuclear weapons and less soldiers, and so there should be less people in NS and the number of people should be transferred over to CS ,

but... we need manpower support, for eg. 'or else who is going to help refill the oil or amo for the weapons?'

Why would we need so much manpower for support for the weapons?

we are talking about the support they need, and NS doesn't neccesarily mean being in the military, but rather serving NS in various ways and it went on and on...


It was quite clear for us that Xin Min didn't prepare as much as us but in the end, I think we won by a close margin, with nick quah from our school as the best speaker.

It was fun, and I'll continue to be in debate, I'm sure :)

Oh yeah, more and more work are piling up on me. This is my grade for some of the tests I got back.
